Yemen
In 2005, Andy Smart carried out a study of all recent and current donor initiatives in teaching and learning materials development and distribution and of teacher training activities in Yemen, and assessed their impacts. The work, funded by the World Bank, included primary and secondary general education sub-sectors. It led to recommendations for reducing system costs, increasing system efficiency and integrating all planned curriculum development and textbook development activities.
